Devin Brewer performs his original songs with an engaging mix of foot stompin fun and heartfelt melancholy that easily satisfies an audience hungry for good music. Appearing either solo or with a bluegrass-style acoustic ensemble, he weaves an entertaining tapestry of poignant ballads, light-hearted musings, and bittersweet love songs. His debut album, Dandelion Wine, has been hailed as " all about the joy of the guitar, banjo, fiddle, and dobro played passionately, with vocals over the top..." (Victory Review). Since 1999 singer/songwriter Devin Brewer has been captivating audiences in the Northwest with his unique repertoire of original country-folk songs performed in traditional acoustic style with tight harmony vocals. Previously he played guitar and sang lead vocals with Jeff Ramsey and Barbara Collins in Big Cedar, an Olympia-based bluegrass and western swing band that performed at Wintergrass 2000 in Tacoma, WA. Brewer got his start in professional music in 1994 as a trombonist for the world famous Garfield High School Jazz Ensemble, performing everywhere from Jazz Alley in Seattle to the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland. Brewer credits his log cabin childhood in a mountain community rich with the sounds of guitar and fiddle as the source of his traditional music heritage. His music career began at age five with a keyboard lesson taught by Edd Key, now a prominent Seattle music theater artist. Twenty years later the two collaborated as co-producers for Dandelion Wine, a sparkling collection of Devins music done in traditional style that appeals to all generations.
